The Fox Run Dance Company is back in 2024 with an opportunity for you to participate in four or more Halloween Flash Mob performances! No dance experience necessary. We have plenty of classes to get you ready to thrill and chill audiences from Portsmouth, NH to Portland, ME.
Dance classes, where you learn all the cool moves, begin Saturday, September 7th at the Fox Run Dance Hall in Newington, NH and occur every Saturday through October 26th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. You will learn four dance skits: Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” “Time Warp,” “Wednesday’s Dance” from the new Addams Family movie, and “Ghost Busters.”
Cost to participate is $13 per week per person and is payable by cash or check each Saturday morning before class begins. Children thirteen and under can participate for free, if a participating paid adult accompanies them. We encourage everyone to come for all eight Saturday morning classes but missing one or two through the run is OK.
There are three main performances and likely other performance opportunities too.
1. Saturday, October 26th (time TBD) at the Fox Run Mall during the Mall’s annual children’s trick or treat event dancing all four skits.
2. Saturday evening, October 26th at the Fox Run Dance Hall’s Halloween Party dancing all four skits.
3. Thursday evening, October 31st at the Portsmouth Halloween Parade, dancing “Time Warp”.
BONUS Workshop and Performance! For those interested in learning the full Michael Jackson Thriller sequence, as seen on MTV, Kristen Goodwin Sutton, professional hip hop dance instructor from Portland, ME will offer a three-hour Thriller Workshop on Saturday, August 31st from 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Fox Run Dance Hall. This is a private invitation just for members of the 2024 Fox Run Halloween Show Troupe. The cost of this workshop is $30 per person. You are invited to join the 100+ Portland zombies and ghouls to perform the “Thriller Showdown Flash Mob” Friday afternoon, October 25th in Portland, ME at Monument Square.
